On October 13, 1917, a significant event known as the Miracle of the Sun occurred, which drew a huge crowd to Fatima. This gathering was in response to prophecies made by three shepherd children – Lúcia Santos, Francisco Marto, and Jacinta Marto – who claimed to have seen apparitions of the Virgin Mary.
During this event, witnesses reported extraordinary solar phenomena, including the Sun appearing to spin, change colors, and move in unusual patterns, which lasted for about ten minutes
Many pilgrims continue to visit Fatima on October 13th each year to commemorate this event, and some still report seeing strange phenomena in the sky during their visits.
